AI Incident Response? In the IT service industry, many managed services providers are exploring how to use AI to improve their businesses while also wrestling with how to best support their clients’ use of AI. The managed services industry is very comfortable with the traditional ITIL defined incident response scenario, but how well does this service model extend and scale into supporting your clients’ AI solutions? As you design AI support plans and processes, what differences will arise? What new skills will you need in your MSP to remain a valuable resource to your clients? This Harvard Business review article, “How to Prepare Your Company for AI Incidents” is a good primer on AI incidents vs traditional IT incident response and provides a good starting point for your internal AI support discussions.

Leadership vision alignment. One of my clients (the company owner) had become frustrated that his leadership team said they understood the owner’s vision but constantly made decisions that seemed out of sync with that vision. To navigate a path through this road block, I had them take the Scaling Up Vision Alignment Assessment which highlighted several disconnects between the owner and his team, and we were able to put together a plan to address them. If we have not already done this together, please reach out.

And on a personal note 🙂

During the last 2 months I’ve experienced several coincidental long lost friends reconnections which has prompted me to be ever more grateful for the people who have been in my life over the years. Also made me a little sad I waited so long to reach out.

  • My best friend from flight school and his wife who I had not seen in almost 37 years which absolutely does not seem possible.
  • My best friend from high school, who I hadn’t seen in over 30 years.
  • A group of pilot friends from my Navy squadron who I really had not connected with in over 30 years.

Life is really good, treasure your friends!

If any of this resonates, feel free to reach out.
